Playing with color, layers, and boundaries. Naíma Almeida is a Brazilian visual artist driven by the possibility of interweaving creative fields. Her practice moves freely between disciplines, blurring the boundaries between craft and design, the handmade and the digital, exploring how color, geometry, and layering can translate graphic languages into volumetric work.
Naíma Almeida's work draws inspiration from real and imaginary elements found in nature. Flowers, plants, and organic structures become the starting point for vibrant visual systems built through color, geometry, and repetition. Real and invented botanical forms are reinterpreted through bold graphic compositions where contrasting color relationships and a profusion of detail create dense, layered environments. Design gave her a strong foundation that deeply shapes the way she thinks, structures ideas, and builds images, one that she carries across every medium she explores.
Her practice spans from extremely manual processes, such as felt compositions assembled piece by piece by hand, building images with depth, relief, and complex color relationships, to augmented reality experiences and large-scale public installations, including site-specific works developed for public spaces in São Paulo and Hong Kong.
She has collaborated with international brands including Adobe, Meta, Instagram, The Macallan, Citroën, Carolina Herrera, and Patagonia, and her work has been recognized with awards from D&AD (London), Clio (New York), the Ibero-American Design Biennial (Madrid), and the Latin America Design Award (Peru).
